Yes I am alive and kicking !! Sorry for the long absence due to RL, but I am happy to be back, full of energy and ideas to create new pretty things for myself that I will share with you all :)

Finally I managed to update ALL Nailed It available sets to Maitreya System (phew only took me 1 year) and you will find all updated sets for sale at Nailed It Mainstore at BAIASTICE Sim for 199L$ full packs and 99L$ for single packs at SL Marketplace.

I also created a new GROUP GIFT available now in store for Nailed It group members.

Versus Magazine - Spring Issue

I know I haven't blogged too much lately, but this time I have a very good excuse for it, besides my crazy RL and all the Nailed It releases for the different events. That reason is Versus Magazine Spring Issue where I have collaborated again with the Versus Team to do the article layouts and some other sections layouts for this beautiful and romantic issue showcasing the designs of some of the best SL fashion designers, based on the actual Spring 2014 RL runway trends.

I did 3 pictures and stylings for the Romantic Brocade Section. It is no secret I love brocades and those who know me well know that I am beyond romantic and sensitive to the extreme, so this trend was definitely perfect for me.

I did also shoot a picture for Versus Latest Releases, where stylists showcase the newest creations from their favourite designers. Of course I chose my favourite brand, Baiastice and Tania Tebaldi who is also graphic designer for the magazine was kind enough to join me for a crazy picture wearing some of Sissy Pessoa's latest shinies. Thank you Tania!!

A magazine needs something more than beautiful pictures, and that’s when our amazing writers Lissabel Lorefield and Sita Writer become the stars of the show. I am honored to work with these two incredible ladies, who are capable of putting into words things that could not be expressed only with pictures.

My favourite article this month is of course the interview to Sissy Pessoa made by Lissa. I personally requested this interview to be made, because even though some other magazines have interviewed Sissy before she never had the chance to actually answer the questions from an Italian journalist, where she would be able to let her real self shine through in her mother tongue. This is certainly the portrait of a Lady! Thank you Lissa.

We have also paid a visit to the extremely beautiful NevaRiver Sim by Neva Crystal, we interviewed the force behind Menswear Fashion Week, Marina and Jaylin from Aphrodite Shop and Heart Homes shared with Versus not only their stunning creations but also their love for each other and SL. Last but, by all means not least, we sat with Kryptonia and Seashell from SCALA who shared with us a cup of coffee along with their point of view about fashion nowadays and their unique way to handle a business in a way no one has ever done before.

Even though it's time for me to step out of Versus due to RL commitments I want to thank all the Versus Staff for their amazing work, I honestly think we managed to put together two amazing numbers that I feel like the best fashion magazines on the grid, so keep up with the good job, I will be watching you!!!

My Top Ten New Year Resolutions (2014)

I've already decided my top 10 resolutions for this 2014. Just like RL I probably won't be achieving half of them, but at least I have the determination to try harder than last year, and to force myself a little bit more I am going to write them all here so I can review them at the end of the year and see how many of them I have actually accomplished.

My first and top 1 resolution is of course, to sort my inventory. Actually I only need to sort 2 folders of my inventory that are a total mess right no: my "objects" folder and my "home and decor" folder. All my clothing and body parts are perfectly updated and classified but I still haven't found a really good way to organize all my furniture and decor items, which has, over the years, ended up in a completely messy folder where you can find from a panda avatar to a chess table or a vintage car.

My second challenge is related to photography. I really want to improve my photography skills, from poses to lights, backgrounds and of course photo editing, I am determined to learn from the best photographers I've been able to find on Flickr and I am stalking their albums and trying to find ideas on how to better alter my pictures. Some day I hope to be able to take amazing pictures like LouLou Teichman, Magissa Denver, Skip Staheli, Miaa Rebane, Petra Messioptra or Shyla Digss ... some day...

Since I started my blog back in 2007 I have found a lot of useful information that other SL residents have been kind enough to share FOR FREE with all of us on their blogs, websites and youtube. There is a long list of people I could never thank enough for all the amazing tips they share with the SL community but some of the best that I suggest you to follow are  Strawberry Singh tutorial section, Elysium Eilde youtube photoshop tips, Harlow Heslop photography tutorials, and Shyntae Demonista tutorials among many others. Also from outside SL professionals like Glyn Dewis and youtube’s Photoshop Training Channel. My resolution? To start my own tutorials section on my blog and share the very few things I’ve learned with all of you.

Another project I have pending since 2010 is to learn how to make poses. My 4th resolution is to learn how to make photography poses in order to showcase all the designs I picture in my blog. I have already downloaded a few programs and as soon as I have some spare time I will start working on it.

Regarding my blog I have yet another resolution. I am strongly determined to blog at least once a week, even if I can only make a LOTD or a Baiastice release post (Sissy my love you produce much more than I can blog) I need to have a steady publication, I owe it to my followers and to myself to keep this crazy blog alive.

I also need to find some spare time to make more nail releases; I have quite a few news coming up for Nailed It, a new store set up, a new nail texture and a lot of new designs to release.. If there only was an easier way to make vendors….sighs… My 6th resolution is to release a new design at least once every two weeks, or a set of two per month, excluding events.

And events are what my next resolution is about. Even though I had read a lot about designers ranting about SL events, my own experience has been amazing: I have participated so far in the I love Donna Flora Event, the Peace on Earth Hunt and the KittyCats Advent Calendar events , and they have all been an amazing experience to me. I am already invited to The Runway Perfect hunt  that will take place on April and the Fashion Pride event on March but my resolution is to get Nailed It to be in at least one of the big events like Collabor88, Cometic Fair, The Liason Collaborative’s Boutique, FaMESHed or L’Accessoires.

My second passion along with Fashion is definitely Music. I really enjoy DJing, music has always been my safe spot, whenever I feel sad, whenever I feel guilty, whenever I feel happy , whenever I feel loved, I just love to find the music to go along with these feelings. Working as a DJ in SL allows me to share all these emotions with a lot of people who then request their songs and share their feelings with me as well, I think it’s truly amazing and I’m lucky to have the best job in the world.

Due to my hectic situation in RL I no longer have a settled schedule at Sweethearts Jazz, which has been my home since I returned to SL. I miss my SH family so much and my 8^th resolution is to arrange things in order to be able to fully return to Sweethearts and share all my favourite music with all my family and friends.

But that’s not my only resolution regarding to DJing. I currently work for EVANE and PENUMBRA as their host and DJ for fashion shows and as a freelance for many other agencies and I’m always trying to find new and amazing music to go along with the shows but I want to go a step further. I want to learn how to use Skype along with Sam to make interviews, record advertising, make custom special effects and add some more new crazy ideas I have in mind to improve the quality of the Fashion Shows I DJ at. Fashion is an evolving industry and I think fashion agencies need to evolve with it. My resolution is to do my part so that happens.

And last, but certainly not least, my 10^th resolution, and probably the most important of all, is to bring to life all the amazing projects we have in mind for VERSUS. It’s very important for me to raise the bar for every single issue we publish, not only improving quality (for which I need to work harder on the layouts) but also bring the best contents, ideas and new releases to all our readers. But we won’t stop there. At Versus we have a lot of fresh ideas that need to be fully developed and to do that we need time and dedication. I will do all my best to bring each and every one of these ideas to life so VERSUS becomes a synonym of quality and innovation all over the grid.

Learning to Decorate with The Arcade: The Appartment

Ok so you just visited The Arcade and went nuts dropping money on all these sophisticated machines, filled with amazing shinnies you just NEEDED to collect. Now you are broke, your inventory is a total mess and you need to use all your recently purchased items in a vain attempt to make yourself feel better about spending the tier, cable TV and shoes budget on a single shopping spree. GL!

Don't panic! I am here to help! ... Well not really. I just wanted to write this guide in a desperate attempt to make myself feel better because I honestly think I can't be the only one out there who just bought a ton of home décor stuff and doesn't actually have a home to use them.  I can't be the only one who is a total disaster at decorating but still fill my inventory with furniture, lying to myself and saying...Oh this will look good...somewhere...I'll get it and think where to place it later... Oh, c'mon I can't be the only one!!! ... Please someone tell me I am not the only one...

This time I worked hard. I promise I did !! I sorted all the different stuff in folders, made 4 different sets of items with an idea in mind and started placing things in 4 different sets: The Apartment, The Wizard Castle, The Happy Bath Time and TheHot Air Balloon. Today I bring you The Apartment Set.

The main set for this review is the Hucci Studio Appartment, the rare item from the Hucci gatcha machine, from which I also used the red couch and the black armchair. This sky-box apartment is amazing, with a skylight, a kitchen with running water and fridge, a bathroom with animated shower and sink and a big closet. The textures are beautiful and the baked shadows are perfect. I just love every single bit of it, and it is perfect for an SL-single lady like me who loves to spend time at home watching TV and reading magazines with a cup of strong coffee on my hand. And of course there is a lot of clothing to fill that huge closet with.
