2 for 1 in shoes!!

I guess I got ALL your attention with the title already but I'm afraid I'll have to elaborate a bit before I show you the goodies.

Did you hear about 21 shoe already?  21 shoe is a 24 hours only event focusing on high quality shoes from the best designers in the grid. For that period of time (24 hours on the 21st of every month) these brands set a pack of shoes available, exclusive and never sold again, at a 2 for 1 discounted price. 

When I heard about this amazing 21 shoe event all I could think of was Woah! This is so awesome it can't be true, not only because of my terrible shoe addiction and my absolute crazyness for sales but also because it happens on 21st each month, exactly when I get paid in RL hahaha

Learning to Decorate with The Arcade: Phase 3 - Fly away!

This time I needed an outdoor location for my post, and I've never ever tried terraforming in my SLife and I think if I ever tried I would destroy Baiastice Sim, which would make most of my readers want to kill me, leading them to put me in ignore list and ban me from their sims to avoid Giela's mass destruction power. That, without taking into consideration that Sissy would definitely hunt me down and kill me for real, soooooo it was about time to Fly away!

When you don't have the time, patience or ability to decorate your own scenario, the best choice is to use one created by any of the amazing artists around SL.  I've chosen Neva Crystall and her incredibly beautiful sim Neva River. Neva is also an Arcade fan and you can find many Arcade items decorating her place, specially on the dock café where I took my second picture. Love Donna Flora!

SL Community is always involved in a lot of events and fundraisers for many different topics, and I think everyone I know in SL is devoted to Relay for Life events. But this time for me it's different, this time that cancer has a name, a face, a kind soul I met in 2011 and that has contributed greatly to the fashion community, I proudly belong to, with her garments and designs: Miss Squinternet Larnia from Donna Flora.

If you ask me for a word to describe Squin it would definitely have to be "Sweet". If you read just a few of the blog posts on Love Donna Flora I think this would be the most used word, along with amazing artist. And this is the best way to describe her, shes an amazing artist who also happens to be very sweet and caring to everyone around her, and now it's the time to give all that caring back.

And Cajsa Lilliehook and her team made it very easy for you to help. Starting July 25th all you have to do is visit Love Donna Flora! Sim, which has been kindly donated by Chablish Kinsella for this cause, and check all the amazing items that some of the best designers on the grid have placed to help raise money for Squin while she is seeking for an alternative therapy and hoping for a second remission.

I am extremely happy because this is the first time I can fully collaborate in an event creating something for it. Before I opened Nailed It, I could only help Blogging about events, Producing shows, DJing or helping with organization, which I know it was a big help already. But this time I will see real money going to the cause due to something I made and I cannot express how happy I feel. This must be the karma thing they talk about at the login screen. 

This is the Love Donna Flora! Set I designed for the event. The colors match Sissy Pessoa's creation for Love Donna Flora! the amazing Giulia Dress, an elegant long dress with a bodice that exalts your feminine figure and an extra long skirt that moves gently as you walk. The set of nails cost only 100L$ (as usual 10L per color in my sets) and both items donate 100% sales for the cause.

I just hope to see you all there on thursday supporting Squinternet and helping spread the word as much as we can.

It was about time to wear something casual for this blog and Peqe desginer Inex Hax just gave me the perfect excuse. She just released all this beautiful sculpted Messy Navaho tops available in 6 beautiful spring colors

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Week 10 Sienna

I am sooooo happy with the latest 52 weeks of color challenge pick: SIENNA, Yay!! one color I even use and should have plenty on my inventory...or not? ... Well I actually had to cheat a itte bit frmthis one, no Photoshop cheating, no, but I had to recolour some of my items in-world to make them fit the look, but overall this one has been easier for me that for example all these pinks and bright colors I rarely use.

The styling started from this Whippet & Buck vest that I discovered while visiting the store for last week's 50 Linden Friday (I recommend you to follow Luna's blog to know what's next weeks's colour so you can check while shopping around hehe). Then a quick search for sienna in my inventory revealed this Baiastice's pale sienna Lesley dress from where I got the top and then, I ran out of ideas. I started trying on like 20 different pants and several skirts, but I like one tone looks and when i realized my new  Fishy Strawberry Porcelain ruffled skirt was modify I managed to add a bit more of burnt orange to it's original colour to make it fit my sienna vest and make a perfect match. To finish the look I only added RunoRuno Knit Stockings, an also recoloured Kyoot Soft warm neck wrap and my new and beloved Maitreya Shearling boots ( *drools*) and off to take some pics!!
