My Polar Getaway

Living in the Canary Islands the only way to have "White Christmas" for me is to ride my car to the top of our volcano and hope for snow to fall that day. That is the reason I enjoy so much all of SL's snowy sims, all your snowy pictures and all of the wintery decor available. From fireplaces, which are pretty stupid to have where I live, to snowy tress outside, every teleport is an adventure for me at this time of the year.

But thanks to "The Arcade" and specially to Winter Thorn from What Next, I have my very own Tropical Polar Getaway this year, where I can finally feel cold, wear cozy clothes and feed the penguins. Penguins???? Did I say penguins? omg omg omg *screams around excited*.

Penguins are my second favorite animal right after cats, I think this is the reason I chose to have lovebirds at home too. When I was I child I always told my mother they were penguins that finally learned to fly, and you may laugh at the naive 9yo Giela but if you ever see how my lovebirds walk and play with me, you will relate to her.

Well, Aime Takaaki from *MishMish*  made my wish come true this year, I finally have my very own Penguin family. Well, to be honest I must say they are not really mine; they just hang out at my place because I feed them every day, I buy them toys and I even allow them to enter my igloo from time to time. In exchange they help me with Xmas decorations, since you already know I am terrible at this, and I must tell you, if you have never slept with the penguins, this is something you must do at least once in your SecondLife.

Learning to Decorate with The Arcade: The Appartment

Ok so you just visited The Arcade and went nuts dropping money on all these sophisticated machines, filled with amazing shinnies you just NEEDED to collect. Now you are broke, your inventory is a total mess and you need to use all your recently purchased items in a vain attempt to make yourself feel better about spending the tier, cable TV and shoes budget on a single shopping spree. GL!

Don't panic! I am here to help! ... Well not really. I just wanted to write this guide in a desperate attempt to make myself feel better because I honestly think I can't be the only one out there who just bought a ton of home décor stuff and doesn't actually have a home to use them.  I can't be the only one who is a total disaster at decorating but still fill my inventory with furniture, lying to myself and saying...Oh this will look good...somewhere...I'll get it and think where to place it later... Oh, c'mon I can't be the only one!!! ... Please someone tell me I am not the only one...

This time I worked hard. I promise I did !! I sorted all the different stuff in folders, made 4 different sets of items with an idea in mind and started placing things in 4 different sets: The Apartment, The Wizard Castle, The Happy Bath Time and TheHot Air Balloon. Today I bring you The Apartment Set.

The main set for this review is the Hucci Studio Appartment, the rare item from the Hucci gatcha machine, from which I also used the red couch and the black armchair. This sky-box apartment is amazing, with a skylight, a kitchen with running water and fridge, a bathroom with animated shower and sink and a big closet. The textures are beautiful and the baked shadows are perfect. I just love every single bit of it, and it is perfect for an SL-single lady like me who loves to spend time at home watching TV and reading magazines with a cup of strong coffee on my hand. And of course there is a lot of clothing to fill that huge closet with.

Italian glamorous style

One of the things I enjoy most is getting ready for a party. I can spend countless hours finding a perfect combination of dress, shoes accessories, hairstyle and of course makeup. 

But to be honest its really easy to look perfect when you can choose from the best brands on the grid. I shop a lot ( way too much) but I usually visit the same stores, I have a folder with Landmarks to my favourite brands, and other than events and interesting places I discover on the feeds, I always end up going to the same places over and over just because of their quality and most importantly because they fit my style. Thats the reason I love Baiastice, everything that Sissy Pessoa designs is pure glamour with a sleek style, beautiful patterns and an special eye for detail.
